Death Note 28 - review

..and what a boring episode it was.

Well, it wasn't that bad. I just really miss L.

And Near wasn't that bad at this first try as the "new" L, N. (confused yet?). LOLs. I really don't like Mello, he looks funny to me, but oh well.
Misa is so cute. She really thinks that Light likes her (try saying Light likes x200, really fast...yeah, i know, it's weird). Also, I really miss L (I think i've said that 3 times).

The way Light has managed to get this far really bothers me (and makes me wonder about the author that wrote Death Note). Like...idk, this guys Light..he's crazy. The episode gets at a bad rating from me, because it was rather boring, and nothing too revealing, or nothing that has made me jump of my seat. Has the Death Note series lost it's "jump". IDK, it seems like next weeks episode is going to be really good, but we'll see.

7/10.

p.s. ii love Near (he's soo kawai, and innocent, and..idk, i love him)

Scratch that...

I still need affiliates
but they will only be text based.

Sorry guys, no 100 x 50 banner like I promised.

Square Enix Party 2007

Well, it's almost May 12-13..and my previous post reminded me of that, LOLs.

And here are my predictions for the Square Enix 2007 Party.

x One new Final Fantasy will be showcased
x I think that'll be "Final Fantasy Haerasis XIII" (I might have spelled that wrong)
x FFHXIII will be announced for the XBOX 360 instead of the PS3.
x No Final Fantasy XIII title will be for the Nintendo Wii
x a DS FFXIII will be announced but not shown.
x a Teaser video of Kingdom Hearts III will be shown behind closed door.
x Square Enix will unveil a new MMORPG IP.

Why do I think some of these things? Because Square Enix is on top, and they know how to keep themselves in that spot.

and here's another (10% chance of happening).

x Dragon Quest 10 will be announced for the Playstation 3, and Toriyama will still work on it.

IDK, am I right, or am I getting too exited???
We'll see..

Bambino 01 - review

OH YEAH. Matsumoto Jun (Matsujun from now on in this blog) is back. I'm so friggin' happy that he is back, because I just..really really love his acting.

Before I continue, this is a review for bambino.

His acting in Hana Yori Dango is what got me hooked into this character (which reminds me, I hate to watch Hana Yori Dango 2). IDK what it is, but his character in Bambino, Ban, is so similar to his character in Hana Yori Dango. Am I the only one who thinks this? Hope not.

Now on to the review.

Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.

Why? Idk, it just got me hooked, right away. The characters are all balanced out for each other (the bitch, the asshold..grr, i hate that guy), and Matsujun portraying the role of a chef, a struggling and up and coming chef, who isn't really having a good time if you ask me...it's just all great.
The episode starts with the main character, Ban, arriving into Tokyo, while having minor flashbacks of his previous "job", apprentice to "an-Italian-educated chef" (if that even means anything...^_^;).

He arrives at the restaurant that his previous master told him about. One of his friends owns that restaurant, and Matsujun (Ban) is going to be "helping" there.

As the underdog story goes, he arrives there, and is ridiculed, and is forced to work a "bazillion times harder" that everyone else. (poor matsujun =( ).

Well, i'm not going to continue and spoil the rest, but it's really good. If you guys aren't watching it..then idk what too tell you..

But anyways, I really like Yonamine. LOLs, he kept hitting on Ban all throught the episode, and apparently he is the only one that is cheering for him (in the inside). But does he have a thing for Ban, or does he see himself in Ban (like was he an up and coming helper once???)...idk, we'll see.
Another character that I liked, was the quiet chef, the one that seemed to manage the kitchen, Atsushi. He dindn't really show much feeling towards Ban, but maybe he sympathized with him. IDK, we'll see. hopefully he's on Ban's side.
I'm going to keep watching. Hopefully so do you guys out there (if anyones really reading my blog, =) ).

Maison Ikkoku

OMGaad, i just read this on Dramawiki, and my jaw dropped. I can't believe they are making this a drama, after a manga, and after it was an anime. Rumiko Takahashi's work is really good.

Can't wait, i've so marked 5/12 on my calendar
(which is Square Enix Party day, oh yeah)

hope someone subs this...

Here's the dramawiki link...

x Random Phrase 001

OK, so the random phrase of the day today is...

"Sawayaka non-fry"

It's from the first volume of "Fruits Basket", the Tokyopop
manga that is.

Proposal Daisakusen 01 - review

So I naturally picked this one up (not a lot to pick from this Spring 2007..or not a lot that interest me...better put?), since Yamashita Tomohisa was in it. The story did call me because it would put one of my favorite actors in a diffrent role than he's usually in (even though Kurosagi was a really diffrent role, I still wanted something else from him), and it had him pursuing a female lead (Nobuta didn't count...ask why and be attacked).

Well, the story starts of when a man by the name of Ken, now probably (didn't specify) in his mid 20's, waking up late and going to his friends wedding, Rei. Ken is actually in love with her, but since he was always the quiet, cold, normal, and boring one, he never actually made a move on her. The fact that she is getting married, and he is (something...idk) helping out in the wedding, is even worse for his spirit. He regrets not being the one getting married.Fast forward to after the wedding, when he is approached by a man who calls himself a fairy, who offers him a way to go back in time. A picture with Rei frowining because of the loose of a baseball game is shown. The fairy doesn't tell him that he needs to try to get the girl, but just to be satiesfied. Ken decides to do it, and he wakes up in the past, at this senior year baseball game. Rei is cheering for him, but he again lets her down, and instead of staying on 3rd base, like he did before he went back to the future, he tries to run for fourth place, and ends up missing, and getting out. This dissapoints Rei, but in the end, she is smiling in the photograph when Ken is suddendly pulled back into the prescense again.

Overall, I give the first episode a 9 out of 10. Why didn't it get that extra point you ask? Because of the way some of the scenes where laid out to the viewer. In my opinion, Ken shouldn't have been late to the wedding. It should have been some kind of scence where he is shown getting ready in his room, and he starts to reminisce about the past with Rei. He looks over to the photograph that is eventually goes into, when someone knocks in his room, and he has to leave for the wedding. That is the way it should've been. But hey, I don't write dramas, so.

The actor that played Rei was a really good actor. I don't know what is going on at first (when she is getting married), but I do think that she still has feelings for him (look at their eyes), and it might be forshadowing something (IDK, but maybe it's just me).

Yamapi (Yamashita Tomohisa) is a great actor. In this drama, I love how he acts, specially In the scence where he is suddendly in the past, and doesn't really understand what is going on, until he realizes that he went back 5 years ago.

Overall, I know that I will continue to watch this drama (and so should you), because of I want to see in what direction the writers take the story. The drama is really good, it stays light hearted, not getting to serious (cough *Kurosagi* cough). One of Ken's friends (the man without the glasses) kept making me laugh all through the episode.

After watching it twice, I can tell this is going to be a good show. Keep watching you silly balloons you.
